Gary C. Kessler
Gary Kessler (#250556) is a divemaster and Master SCUBA Diver Trainer, certified by the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI). He is certified to teach basic PADI SCUBA courses, including Discover SCUBA®, Open Water Diver, SCUBA Review, Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster, as well as the following specialities:
Gary was originally certified in SCUBA by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation source of the first recreational SCUBA certification in the U.S. in 1967 at the age of 13. Gary was re-certified by PADI in 1991 as one of the original divers with the Colchester Rescue Dive Team in Colchester, Vermont.
Gary's primary home dive locale is Lake Champlain, although he also has experience diving in the southeast U.S. (North Carolina to Florida), the Caribbean (particularly Antigua, Aruba, The Bahamas, and Yucatan Peninsula), the coast of western Mexico, Hawaii (a favorite!!!), the Coral Sea, and Indian Ocean (Perth and Mauritius). He is very familiar with the waters of Lake Champlain and Malletts Bay, and is happy to lead tours or Discover Local Diving courses for out-of-area visitors.
